I moved to Milan, guys. Been a few days, and still need a few more so I can settle down.
I’ll be back on Tumblr soooon!!
Thanks for being so patient!!
I haven’t worked out in almost a week D: Someone motivate meeee!
Been walking a lot though, 10+ kms every day. But I just CAN’T get myself to go to the studio anymore. The coach is making me do SUCH boring exercises… 2 hours of SNORE each time!!
Definitely not renewing my membership after this month is up. Another 7-8 days to go!
start casual, you’ll hurt yourself if you switch to barefoot running too quickly.
I already have the Adidas barefoot sneakers.. Did a half marathon in that, so I’m used to it :) The issue is that the Adidas ones are more geared towards indoor stuff than outdoor running, so my feet were kind of sore after the race :(
bikila is good for running, komodosport is good for everything. for men at least.. womens have so many more types!
Thanks a ton :D I’ll go check out some reviews… Now atleast I know where to start looking!
My cousin is getting me a pair of Vibrams when he’s visiting net month, so he asked me to tell him which style I want.
I went onto the website and there are so many types I’m utterly confused!!
Help me? I run occasionally, I’ve done two half-marathons and want to start training for a marathon (or atleast another half marathon) soon.
Just as I was leaving the gym yesterday… He suddenly said…
Join me! Join the fitness industry. There are very few people who have the passion and dedication you do. Very few people breathe fitness and love it. I’ll train you… And you and my daughter can take over this studio while I expand to other centres!
And I was like
Well… I had to turn the offer down for now cause I’m leaving in less than 2 months to study design in Italy for a year. But after I’m back… :D
Going in January for a year for my Masters degree in Design. Sheesh I’m all grown up :’)
Dinner at Nando’s (YIPEEEEEEE!!) and then watch Jab Tak Hai Jaan with the family. It’s going to be this cliche-cheesy-corny-sappy movie, and no one can wait to watch it!!
Yeah, we’re all for realistic movies, and we make fun of sap, but when the late Yash Chopra comes out with his last romantic masterpiece, the entire country runs to the theatres.
It’s a genre that faded away almost a decade ago, and Mr Chopra passed away less than a month ago, before he could see the feedback on his last venture (he was going to retire after this one). I can’t wait to bawl my eyes out :’)
Diwali, here, is the festival of lights. There are many stories behind it, but the most common one says that this was the day our mythical hero (one of our MANY), Raama, came home with his brother, Lakshmana, and wife, Sita, after 14 years in exile (at the end of which Sita was kidnapped by the Asura- loosely translated to demon- king, Ravana. So it WAS a huge cause of celebration, since Raama rescued Sita, and killed Ravana as well!).
We celebrate by lighting crackers. Looks beautiful! But the noise pollution, and the smog that lasts the next few days… Not so fun.
I don’t really celebrate, but I like to look at the fireworks from inside, or sitting on the terrace :)
THAT is India!!
I’ve been sooo ‘Bleh’ for a while now. Weird. Life is good. I’m going to Milan in less than 2 months to study for a year. I should be EXCITED!! But I’m totally Bleh.
Anyway… I ate really well today. No junk at all, except a TINYYYYY piece of this coconutty sweet that my Mom made. So yay! :)
I had to log wrong exercises :(
Anyway… Planning to start Stronglifts 5X5 again. I think my body went through max changes when I was doing that.
Also… I’m going to go for a walk with my parents in the evening. Even if I don’t run, or even walk, atleast I’ll get some fresh air!!
And finally… I’m putting up a chart in my room for 4 weeks. I’m going to log all meals and exercises and water AND mood on it, so I’ll have those annoying blank spaces (and sad faces and reminders of every single crisp I put in my mouth) if I decide to skip a workout or eat bad!
Which is the best option to sweeten my morning coffee? I use about 2 teaspoons. I’ve been using artificial sweetener to save Calories, but I’d rather have honey/brown sugar, and adjust the extra 40 Calories elsewhere, right?
In any case, I’ve vowed to cut off artificial sweeteners totally once I reach 60kgs (132lbs).
After a looong and wonderful trip… 18 days, 5 cities and 7 flights… SEVEN!!
Kolkata (my hometown for a festival), Aizawl (for my college bff’s wedding), Shillong (for a friend’s sister’s wedding), Guwahati (an 8hr stopover) and Darjeeling (Queen of the Hills).
Tired, and fattened up :(
Diet is back on track as of today, and will get back to the gym on Thursday!!
How’s everyone doing?? :)
Guys!! I haven’t been losing fat/inches at all!! I can see muscle when I flex, and in some cases even if I move (like in my arms when I brush my teeth or wash my face).
I’ve been at it since Feb, so the total lack of physical change in my body is depressing. So… Can anyone tell me anything about fat burning pills? Harmful? Helpful? Worth it?
It’s Monday!! Catching a flight from Kolkata to Aizawl for my college bff’s wedding. So excited!! It’s a church ceremony on Wednesday (not so common here, we’re a Hindu majority country), and I’m wearing a sari! I love saris :)
